Development Internship (Summer 2021)


Internship Summary

The development intern will learn everything it takes to attract and manage donors, funders, and partners. The role is designed for individuals who seek a career in development and will benefit from practical experience in this area. Candidates must be passionate about promoting world-changing ideas with donors, academics, international development organizations, and foundations. The development internship is designed to provide an excellent opportunity for interns to explore how relationships and networks are managed. Interns must be creative, curious, and detail oriented. They need to enjoy writing, researching, and the challenge of managing development campaigns and events. The intern will be provided a $2,500 stipend. This internship will be remote because of COVID-19. The intern is expected to be available for 20 hours of work per week.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Development Intern

  • Development projects as assigned by supervisor
  • Collaborate with other teams within CCI as necessary
  • Manage fundraising campaigns and events
  • Punctuality and regularity at team meetings and brainstorming sessions
  • Commitment to completing reading and learning assignment
