Alex recently completed his MSc in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies at the University of Oxford where he wrote a thesis exploring the role of cities in contesting the securitisation of refugees. He is interested in how the city will shape the politics of the 21st century, particularly in relation to migration and post-industrialism. Hailing from Belfast, Alex has also been involved with cross-community peacebuilding work in Northern Ireland and is a graduate of the Washington Ireland Program.
